Event 7 – 27th July – with Masters Racing

Good afternoon you cracking humans, our next race is rapidly approaching and we have loads of info. Therefore, we thought it best to get it written down somewhere accurately… here goes…

Schedule

The plan… based on your feedback, which the June entry numbers confirmed, you want to race in your preferred category first, then follow up with additional races where possible.. This month, we also have a Masters schedule, so the racing will run as follows…

  • 9.30 Open Cat 4 (Regional B)
  • 10.45 Open Cat 3&4 (Regional B)
  • 12.15 Open E123 (National B)
  • 14.00 Masters Race (Masters C+)

Masters Race
Although starting at the same time, there will be 4 individual races running together which will be split by coloured numbers. The 4 races will be  30-39, 40-49, 50-59 and 60+ age categories. We hope this will provide exciting racing and maybe even the odd team tactic 😉

Masters racing is purely grouped by age. You can be any category and its open to all as long as you’re 30 or over..

BC Points and Prizes

As usual, BC points are up for grabs for anyone looking to make a mid year dash up to the next category or to cement your place ready for next year 😉 We need a minimum of 10 riders in every race (15 in the E123) to offer the full BC points available, This includes each category in the masters race, so ideally we’ll have 40+ riders in that event.

Entry Fees

We know everything ‘bikes’ is expensive so we run a number of offers to try encourage big fields. Obviously we need numbers to cover our costs, but it also makes for exciting racing. The more numbers we get (especially pre-registering), means we can run additional offers and increase the prize pot.

The cheapest way to enter is online. This will cost you £20 to race (assuming you have BC membership and a race license – don’t worry if not, these can be bought on the day for an extra charge). If you have 3 additional team mates entering the same race, we will offer your team a free place for a 5th rider and you can splits the costs between you.

Last but not least. If you want to make a day of it, you can enter any additional races you qualify for,  by paying £10 a race. This needs to be done on the day. Just let the sign on team know when collecting your number.

So that’s it, hopefully we’ll see you on the 27th July. If you do have any questions or suggestions, please reach out to us. We hope you know by know, but we’re always happy to help and welcome any feedback! Best place to reach us is either Facebook or Instagram but you can also email richard.slaney@tinyworld.co.uk
